The King and Trump’s mysterious conversation before he left Windsor revealed

A lipreader has exclusively told Metro what she claims Donald Trump and King Charles said to each other in their hushed final conversation at Windsor Castle.
The US president was leaving the royal residence after a quick 24 hour stopover, which featured a carriage ride of Windsor Castle, a flypast from the Red Arrows and a special Beating Retreat military spectacle, followed by a lavish State Banquet.
The pair, who previously met in 2019 during Trump’s last presidency, said goodbye before the US President set off to Chequers for a one-to-one meeting with Keir Starmer.

The conversation, according Nicola, went as follows:
Charles: ‘Yes. Yes.’
Trump: [inaudible]
Charles: ‘You’re very smart these days.’
Trump: “Are you saying you’re with me?”
Charles: [nods] ‘Alright.’
Trump: ‘Let’s shake on it.’
(They shake hands. Trump turns toward the cameras.)
Trump: ‘Thank you very much. He’s quite charming. He has shown me a great deal.’
(Trump turns back to Charles.)
Trump: ‘Thank you for everything.’
Charles: ‘You’re welcome.’
It’s not clear what exactly Trump and Charles were referring to during their conversation.
In speeches held at a state dinner last evening, Charles urged Trump to protect the environment and restated the importance of supporting Ukraine in their war against Russia.

The US president praised the King in his address, saying he ‘has epitomised the fortitude, nobility and the spirit of the British monarchy and the British people.’
Trump also warned the 160 guests that ‘we must defend the exceptional heritage that makes us who we are and we must continue to stand for the values and the people of the English-speaking world’.
Yesterday, Hickling revealed the jokey way Charles broke the ice with Melania Trump when she arrived at the royal residence.
He seemingly made light of the gusty weather, telling her: ‘I do hope the wind doesn’t blow away your hat.’
Hickling also claimed that Trump called Kate ‘beautiful’ and William his ‘friend’ in their initial exchanged.
After departing from Windsor on Marine One today, Trump landed at the prime minister’s countryside home of Chequers.

There the pair are expected to hold bilateral talks on international and trade issues before holding a news conference.

King Charles cracked a friendly joke about Melania Trump’s giant purple hat during their meeting at Windsor Castle, a lipreader has told Metro.
US president Donald Trump and his wife were greeting the senior royals at Windsor Castle during their unprecedented second state visit when the light-hearted moment went down.
The monarch approached the former model and joked about the gusty weather threatening her head gear.
Donald also broke the ice by calling the Princess of Wales ‘beautiful’, forensic lipreader Nicola Hickling has claimed.

Donald and Melania touched down in the grounds of Windsor Castle just after midday on Wednesday.
They were greeted by Prince and Princess of Wales before being introduced to King Charles and Queen Camilla.
What the lip reading expert captured
Nicola has told Metro how she thinks the exchanges went down.
Donald Trump first greeted William at the bottom of Marine One, saying: ‘Hello my friend, how are ya?’
After Melania and Kate greet each other, the group begin walking over towards where the King and Queen.
En route, Donald Trump asks Prince Willian: ‘How are the children?’
Prince William: ‘They’re well and at school.’
Trump: ‘Well, blow me.’
Prince William: ‘The new term started a couple of weeks ago.’
Trump: ‘It’s been a while since you chatted with me.’
Prince William, speaking to Kate, said: ‘He has missed our little chats.’
He then added to Trump: ‘We can talk now you’re here on a visit.’
Trump responded: ‘We have lots to catch up with, and there’s been lots of changes.’

Breaking the ice
The president and first lady shook hands with King Charles and Queen Camilla, with Trump telling the Monarch: ‘How are you doing, it’s a pleasure, Your Majesty. Thank you for inviting me.’
King Charles then joked to Melania: ‘I do hope the wind doesn’t blow away your hat.’
This got a large laugh from the former model, who goes on to shake Camilla’s hand.
The King then introduced the guests to his aides before the Princess of Wales approaches the first lady and starts talking about fashion.
According to the lipreader, Kate told her: ‘Your Mackintosh is the same one I am flying, I wear it each time.’
Melania: ‘I know, it’s exceptional and such a comfort. Sometimes I wear it to the house. Sometimes when I come I don’t want to go back.’

The first lady added: ‘Tell me, how are the children?’
Kate: ‘Very well, they’re back at school now so it’s back to a good routine.’
While Kate and Melania were talking about their coats, Trump was speaking ominously about what he plans to tell an unnamed individual.
Donald could be seen telling Charles: ‘I am trying to prove it, but it’s still a little rough, we go back a long way.
‘The difficulty of it is that they are opening it back up with this in an era.
‘I’ll say you need to listen, it was in a time where I was playing. If you want to learn, you gotta listen.’
Donald then tapped William’s arm, adding warmly: ‘You look fantastic.’
Turning back to Charles, Trump said: ‘I know, this is what you and I hope for. This is so beautiful. The carriages are beautiful.’

Trump and the King then hopped in a carriage ride across the Windsor estate, with the Queen and first lady following suit.
Trump then inspected largest Guard of Honour ever assembled alongside the Monarch, before everyone disappeared inside the royal residence for a private lunch.
Both Trump and the King will give speeches at a traditional state banquet at Windsor Castle this evening.
The lavish dinner will cap of Wednesday’s festivities, with the state visit turning political on Thursday.
Trump will travel to the PM’s country home, Chequers where he’ll have a one-to-one meeting with Sir Keir.
He will then attend a dinner reception hosted by the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Rachel Reeves.
While her husband is meeting political leaders, Melania will stay at Windsor where she will receive tours of the Royal Library and Queen Mary’s Dolls’ House.
